Notes on our fees and bookings

To secure your appointment slot and proceed with your consultation, you will need to process payment prior to your consultation. After booking your consultation time, you will be sent a link via email and SMS to our payment gateway.

The appointment slot will be held up to 60 minutes after booking, and by that time if payment has not been received the appointment will be cancelled.

If you do not reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours prior, you will be responsible for a missed appointment fee.

Medicare and Electronic Prescribing

If you intend to have prescriptions sent to you via SMS or email, please ensure you enter your Medicare number when registering your details upon booking.‍

Depending on the purpose of the consultation, you may be eligible to claim part of this fee from Medicare if;

- If you are in isolation/quarantine due to a State or Territory public health order (e.g. isolating for COVID-19)
- You are seeking help for any mental health concerns
- You are seeking help to cease using nicotine or to stop smoking.

Is my consultation covered by Medicare?

We are a private service and payment will be required prior to your telehealth consultation with one of our doctors, however if an MBS item applies, you can then claim a rebate for this yourself.

Bulk billed services are not available through this service, and currently the majority of Medicare telehealth items are not currently available via our service, however exceptions do apply for:

  • People requiring GP advice on Mental Health Care Plans, smoking cessation, some reproductive health enquiries
  • Anyone who is affected by COVID isolation orders
  • Anyone who needs to be assessed for COVID antiviral medication
  • Babies under 12 months of age
  • People experiencing homelessness

COVID19 Antiviral Consultation - Medicare rebate available

If you test positive for COVID-19, you may be eligible for antiviral treatments if you are:

  • 70 years of age or older, regardless of risk factors and with or without symptoms
  • 50 years of age or older with 2 additional risk factors
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, 30 years of age or older and with 1 additional risk factors
  • 18 years or older and are moderately to severely immunocompromised
